SASSARI – MONTE D’ACCODDI

SASSARI – MONTE D’ACCODDI

It is an important archaeological site in pre-Nuragic Sardinia, founded between 4000 and 3650 BC. and expanded between 2800 and 2400 BC. Due to the concentration of different types of construction, the monument is still considered unique not only in Europe, but in the Mediterranean Sea area, so particular as to be associated, erroneously, due to its shape, with structures of multiple overlapping horizontal planes (called “ziggurat”) of Mesopotamia.
